[Article] Reasons Why You Should Date A Single Parent

There is no doubt a lot of stigma is attached to dating single parents in this part of the world. We are so focused on making sure we have a relationship with the right partner that once we find out someone is already a mother or a father, we tend to assume the relationship will be rocky.

There are challenges to be faced if you are considering or already building a relationship with a single person that already has a kid (or kids), this does not mean there are no advantages.

Let us take a look at some reasons why dating a single parent is not such a bad idea.

1. Single parents are responsible: Once you have a child (whether or not you are single) you automatically become more responsible. You recognise that you can no longer be selfish with your time and activities. You aim to become better so your child(ren) will have a better role model. Responsibility is a very important thing to consider when choosing someone to date, so having someone who already has this trait is a good thing.

Dating a responsible, single parent will mean you do not have to worry about your date getting drunk in bars or spending all of his/her time at parties.

2. They are more caring: Being parents mean that you learn how to care for someone and take care of them. You become more caring and patient. So, dating a parent means you enjoy this perk. He/she already have experience caring for someone and would easily care for you the same way.

3. They are looking for something serious: When dating a single parent, you do not have to go through what a lot of single people go through where they worry so much about whether or not their partner wants to marry them and build a future.

There is a high likelihood that your partner is looking to settle down and find someone who will join him/her to parent their child(ren). So you are not all tied up in knots worried about the future of your relationship because you know where you are going.

4. They hardly pretend: Being with a single parent also mean that you have an idea what kind of parents they will be. We all have different ideas on how we would like to parent our kids and we might never truly know what our partner really believe in: unless we see them at work.

Dating a single parent means you get to see their true character and belief system without them having to tell you. You can decide whether or not you will like to make babies with them this way.

5. They most-likely have an income source: These days, no one wants to be with someone who does not at least have some source of income. But as soon as you hear that someone is a single parent, you are rest assured that this person is doing some kind of work.

Parents have to feed, clothe, educate and provide shelter for their kids and this will not happen if they do not have a source of income. So this is an advantage for a partner looking to date a more established person.

6. They are experienced: Single parents have some kind of experience with children. Sometimes, couples face difficulties deciding to have children and neither of them are prepared for the challenges that come with it.

However, when you date a single parent, you know that, at least, one of you have experience and will be able to foresee bumps in the road before they actually occur. This insight will make you feel a little less nervous when it is time for you to have your own children.

Before you act on this, note that this is based on research result of which might not work for everybody. If you are already dating a single parent, maybe you can go on only with the concert of his children if he or she has any. if you are already dating a young 'single' so to say, go on too but always know what you are supposed to do at every point of the relationship. - Kenneth

[Article] All You Need To Know About The 'Post-apocalyptic' Solar Sports Car - Immortus

“Inspired by the world portrayed in post-apocalyptic movies” and apparently named for a Marvel comics villain , the Immortus is a one-off concept from EVX Ventures , a collaboration between the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne and a group of Austalian engineers and solar-car racers. Unlike the racecars built to compete in Australia’s annual World Solar Challenge , a 1,900mi desert road race from Darwin to Adelaide, the Immortus isn’t a sunshine-or-nothing car. In addition to 75 square feet of silicon photovoltaic cells on the roof, the car features a plug-in electric powertrain with a lithium-ion battery pack and pair of hub motors in the rear wheels. As long and wide as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe , the Immortus – which offers interior space for two occupants and their hand luggage – isn’t small. But the company promises sports-car handling and brisk performance.  The trip from zero to 62mph takes less than 7 seconds and the car will hum to a top speed ...
