[Motivation] Story of The Talking Skull

 

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom located in the far east of the earth. The elders of the kingdom made a decree that whoever lies would be killed. This decree was accepted by all.


One day, a young farmer was on a path heading to his farm. He came across a human skull by the roadside which he unknowing kicked. Surprisingly, the skull spoke, "why did you kick me?"

The farmer replied, "sorry, I didn't notice you." He kicked the skull again and asked, "Why are you here?" "I am here because of what I said with my month," the skull replied.

The farmer kicked the skull again to know what it meant by what it said. The skull replied again, "I am here because of what I said with my mouth."

The young man ran back to the community and called out to the elders and other villagers. He told them that he saw saw a talking skull on his way to his farm. The elders didn't believe him, so they asked him to go back to his house. The farmer insisted and asked them to come and see for themselves. Finally, the whole villagers accepted to go with him.

When they got to the point where he saw the skull, he was asked to make the skull to talk. The farmer came out, kicked the skull and asked it why it to talk. Unfortunately, the skull refused to talk. He kicked and kicked until he was tired but the skull didn't say anything.

Being it that he has lied about the talking skull, the elders asked the soldiers to kill him. This they did and left his head lying beside the talking skull.

When the had all gone back to the village, the skull spoke again, "I told you, what I said with my mouth kept me here."

Moral:
Do not be in a rush to talk about what you see. Most times, what we say with our mouth leads to the troubles we find ourselves in. We tend to be the first to speak, neglecting the aftermath of our speech.

This story does not only stress on fact that you do not have to be in a rush to speak about what you see or hear, it also reveals that you have to be able to take charge of every situation you find yourself.

Always try to solve the mystery before you. Never stop trying even if you fail!
