The Eagle's Path To Change

This is a story of an Eagle.

Did you know that an Eagle can live up to 70 years? But to reach this age, the eagle has to take a critical decision. In its 40th year, its long and flexible talons can no longer grab preys. Its long and sharp beak is bent, making it difficult to pick food. Its heavy winds, due to thickened feathers, make it difficult to fly. With that, the Eagle is left with two options.

The first option is to wither and die. While the second option is to go through a painful process of CHANGE which would last for 150days in order to survive.

The painful process of CHANGE requires the Eagle to build a nest at the top of a mountain.  There the Eagle knocks its beak against the rocks until it is plucked out. Then the Eagle waits till a new beak grows, and will pluck it’s talons with the new beak. Once new talons are developed, the Eagle will then pluck it’s aged and heavy feathers. The Eagle will wait until new feathers are grown.

And after completing this process, the Eagle will take its famous flight of rebirth and live for another 30 years.

Just like the Eagle, we too are faced with difficult situations that require us to make CHANGES to ourselves in order to see ourselves go through those difficult situations.

If we can CHANGE the way we think, then we can definitely CHANGE the way we live.

Like the Eagle, we must be strong, determined and have no fear to make these CHANGES. And like the Eagle, we will soar through the sky taking any challenge as an opportunity to become a better person.
